Operation Smile

We need your help!

On Saturday, August 20th from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm I will be co-hosting the 3rd Annual Evening of Smiles event to benefit Operation Smile.

This exclusive high-profile cocktail event will be held at Axe Lounge at Dune in Southampton to raise funds and awareness for the children of Operation Smile. Last year the Evening of Smiles event raised $150,000, enough money to provide over 500 children around the world with life-changing surgeries.  I wanted to follow up and see if you would like to be involved in any way or were still interested in attending the event.  I have attached the invite and sponsorship form. I look forward to hearing from you.

.
Multi-platinum  singer, songwriter and rapper IYAZ will make a special appearance at the event, performing such smash hits as debut single “Replay,” which reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart in 2009, and his most-recent single with Gym Class Heroes singer Travis McCoy, “All The Pretty Girls.” listen here: http://www.iyazmusic.com/

Founder and event chair Danielle Winick has been heavily involved in the organization for four years and will once again spearhead this year’s event, which is organized by teens and adults from New York City and the Hamptons. Winick planned the First Annual Evening of Smiles at Southampton’s Day & Night Club, as well as last year’s event at RDV, which raised more than $150,000. Proceeds from past Evening of Smiles events have gone to Operation Smile missions in Vietnam and Bolivia, respectively, and Winick has been fortunate enough to visit both missions to see firsthand the difference Operation Smile makes in the lives of children with facial deformities. Winick aims to exceed previous fundraising totals with this year’s benefit. With all aspects of the event either underwritten or donated, 100 percent of the money raised from ticket sales, auction items and donations will go directly to Operation Smile, which currently has a presence in 51 countries around the world. To date, Operation Smile has donated operations to 150,000 children with cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities. Approximately 1,000 new surgeries are performed each month.
